Rhino Rally is a safari-themed attraction located in Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, an African theme park located in Tampa, Florida. The trip opened on May 23, 2001 in the Nairobi section of the park. This trip is Vekoma Safari Adventure and the only one ever made. The pretense is that guests will board a normal safari that turns into a search for a lost driver named Scooter Roberts.

Driving Experience
Queue
Guests enter the line and learn that they will be taking a popular safari tour, known as the Rhino Rally, which hosts an annual racing event where safari trucks must race against each other with passengers on board to reach the finish line. As guests walk past the queue, they hear news reporters and rally drivers discussing the loss of a lost driver on the field named Scooter Roberts and their attempts to find him and the voice of Scooter himself for help. Guests also passed a vehicle that won the 10th Rhino Rally race, as well as a map showing their way on the field.
Ride
As guests boarded the vehicle, the safari rider welcomed them and selected one of them to become their navigator, whom they ordered to find green and black columns showing where to go. As the safari truck starts to drive, the lost driver's voice of Scooter Roberts is heard, explaining that he has been stranded on the field after his truck is damaged and he lost three of his personal items on the pitch: his water can, his gas can and his favorite hat. These items act as mini-scavengers along the way as they spread throughout the course. Guests then pass the START sign for the rally race followed by trucks passing through the elephant ground. The driver then warned guests to look for African killer ducks as they passed the next area, followed by trucks passing exotic animals and to rhino land. The truck then falls and enters the crocodile pond, with the driver warning guests to keep all arms and legs in the vehicle during this time. After that, the vehicle travels back to the crowded ground, and the driver finds a truck stranded with a Scooter with a HELP mark covering the back. If staff is allowed, Busch Gardens actors will appear in trucks and interact with guests as they drive (this usually happens on busy days only). If not, then the driver immediately takes the path to the right, reveals the FINISH sign, and the new voiceover from the sound of the Scooter played explains that he heard them driving by but was napping in the back seat of his truck, and then congratulated the driver and guests. The rally driver thanked the guests, who got out of the vehicle.
Prior to the closing of the Rhino Rally, Skyride park also crosses the journey, allowing aerial scenery from zoo animals.

History
This attraction has a gentle opening held for park guests starting in March 2001 and will last until the end of May 2001. The first trip opened at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay on May 23, 2001, during a grand opening ceremony hosted by Busch park executives. The enormous waiting time leverage after opening encourages the park to start a temporary "expressive" style system that will allow the buyer to re-visit the attraction at a later time and gain access on the front lines. It was later discontinued in 2002. However, it was brought back in 2010 as part of the new Quick Queue Garden system for rides and major attractions.
In June 2001, one of the cars overturned during the trip as the rider crossed a narrow lane on the track while reportedly "acting silly". The incident resulted in minor injuries to some guests, two of whom were taken to a local hospital. Busch Gardens then closed the journey for long repairs to make the riding lane wider, and redesigned the ride vehicle.
The trip initially featured a larger section of water that was part of the journey from May 23, 2001 to May 1, 2010.
During this tenure, in part riding immediately after the crocodile scene, the driver will notice that when the vehicle returns on solid ground, there is no green pole. Confused, the driver asked the navigator where to go, because the road is divided into left and right roads. Regardless of which path the navigator chooses, the driver always goes to the left. The correct path is only used when the water part of the trip goes down or in an emergency situation. After turning left, the driver drove to the rainforest, then the truck reached a bridge beside a huge waterfall, which became too strong and broke the separate bridge with a truck on it. The truck then floated in the river at the bridge. The driver gets mad at the navigator and quickly broadcasts Rescue ONE to get them. The truck then passes under another waterfall. This one happened to enjoy the guests in the back row. Soon, the driver finds Rescue ONE trapped because of a broken bridge. When the truck reaches the broken bridge, the current pulls it and stops just before it falls to the waterfall. Thinking fast, drivers will see the path ahead of them, and will tell guests to hope that it leads to safety. Shortly after, the truck reaches the finish line and wins the race, when the victory music is played out loud. The driver thanked the guests for joining them when they got out of the truck.
On May 1, 2010, the Rhino Rally water portion was permanently closed for the Cheetah Hunt development, and the theme of the trip was changed to save the missing driver named Scooter Roberts. Scooter has run off the track and lost three items: a water vat, his gas can and his favorite hat. These items are located along the road acting as mini hunters. Finally, towards the end of the journey, the entourage will find Land Rover Scooter. If staff is allowed, employees will act as Scooter and interact with guests as they drive.
The water part of the journey was disturbed by the problem, often causing it to break down. When this happens, the ground part of the route is operated as usual, but with a detour towards the end of the journey. If the navigator says to go to the left, the driver will go instead. This is the only time that the vehicle goes to the right in a split on the road until the water's closure in 2010, so the vehicle will just head toward the right side of the road.
In January 2015, Busch Gardens confirmed speculation that the Rhino Rally will be permanently closed. The current garden area located within will be used for future development.
