Careers

Before he became a NASCAR racer, he served as high school principal in Slidell, Louisiana, stepping down in December 2004 to focus full time on his racing career. Kim has a master's degree in Educational Administration.

Crosby was originally a drag racer, competing in NHRA and IHRA for fifteen years. He started an oval race in 2000 at Buck Baker Driving School, where he graduated in an advanced class. He will then return to work at school as an instructor at the school's satellite at Bristol Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, and Darlington Raceway. He also runs the Florida Fast Trucks Series. Kim has also completed the Advanced Driving School at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving.

In 2003, he debuted on the ARCA RE/MAX Series, where his best finish came in his first start, 21 at Kentucky Speedway. He ran two more races that year in the ARCA Series. In 2004, he signed a contract to push # 28 for Black Cat Racing, but left the team during Speedweeks. He finally made his debut in Busch Series on Talladega Superspeedway, finishing 20th at # 51 Boudreaux's Butt Paste Dodge owned by Ware Racing Enterprises. He ran three more races for Ware that season, his best finish coming in his debut at Talladega. He closed the year running for ORTEC Motorsports, finishing 38th at Aaron 312.

He signed a contract to drive GIC-Mixon Motorsports in 2005, driving a # 24 Butt Paste Chevrolet. Her best performance with this team is the 35th at Atlanta Motor Speedway. In mid-season, he left the GIC and signed a contract to drive # 26 Chevrolet to Keith Coleman Racing, which ended on the 28th at Daytona International Speedway. After a very tumultuous time with KCR, Crosby resigned from the team to pursue other opportunities.

In 2006, it was announced he would run a part-time schedule for Frank Cicci Racing with Jim Kelly. He made it first and only started for the team in June at the Milwaukee Mile, starting 41 after crashing a sick car in qualifying, then finishing 40 after suffering an electrical problem and being forced into the garage at the start of the race. The team closed shortly afterwards due to business and sponsorship issues, allowing Kim to be the only bad start for the team.

In 2008, he was listed as one of the # 15 truck drivers for Billy Ballew Motorsports in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series as his teammate for Kyle Busch. Sponsorship never materialized, however, and Kim can not start for the team.

In 2009, Crosby has been the driver for Monster Jam, driving a monster truck known as Mutt Dalmatian Monster and Madusa (usually driven by fellow extreme athlete Debrah Miceli) in Central America as part of the World Monster Jam Tour. He continues to pursue sponsorship for his Jam Monster theme truck and plans to reenter the ranks of NASCAR if the right opportunity arises.

Crosby is an out-of-the-box woman. When not competing, he prefers hunting, fishing, hiking, kayaking, and camping. He currently lives in Kentucky.
