Cargo transport is a physical process for transporting goods and merchandise and merchandise. The term delivery originally refers to transport by sea, but in American English, has been extended to refer transport by land or air (International English: "train") as well. "Logistics", a term borrowed from the military environment, is also fashionably used in the same sense.

In rivers and canals, barges are often used to transport bulk cargoes.
Air
Cargo is transported by air on special cargo planes and in luggage compartments of passenger aircraft. Air transport is usually the fastest mode for long-distance transport, but also the most expensive.
Intermodal
Intermodal cargo transport refers to shipments involving more than one mode. More specifically it usually refers to the use of intermodal shipping containers that are easily transferred between ships, trains, planes and trucks.
For example, the sender works together with land and air transport to ship goods abroad. Intermodal cargo transport is used to plan routes and carry out delivery service from factory to receiver door.

Common terms of trade used in the delivery of goods internationally include:
- Free on board (FOB) - exporters deliver goods at designated locations (and aboard). Costs paid by exporters include cargo, eyelashes, security and cargo storage, including securing the cargo inside the vessel, protecting the cargo from contact with the double bottom to prevent slipping, and protection against damage from condensation. For example, "FOB JNPT" means that the exporter sends goods to Jawahar lal Nehru Port, India, and pays for the cargo to be loaded and secured on board. The term also states where the sender's responsibility ends and the buyer begins. Exporters are bound to deliver the goods at cost and cost. In this case, shipping costs and other expenses for outgoing traffic are borne by the importer. (C & amp; F, CFR, CNF): Insurance is paid by the importer, and the exporter pays all costs incurred in transporting the cargo from its place of origin to port/airport and sea transport/air freight to destination port/airport. - Transport, insurance and shipping (now known in the US as "cost, insurance, and shipping") (CIF): Insurance and shipping are all paid by the exporter to the designated location. For example, in CIF Los Angeles, exporters pay the air/sea freight charges to Los Angeles including cargo insurance. It also states that the sender's responsibility ends at the port of Los Angeles.
- The term "best way" generally implies that the sender will choose the provider that offers the lowest rate (to the sender) for delivery. But in some cases, other factors, such as better insurance or faster transit times will cause the sender to choose an option other than the lowest bidder.
Door-to-door delivery
door-to-door delivery is a service provided by many international shipping companies. Prices quoted from this service include all shipments, handling, imports and import duties, making it a hassle-free option for customers to import goods from one jurisdiction to another. This compares to standard delivery, a price that typically only covers the costs incurred by a shipping company in transferring objects from one place to another. Customs fees, import duties and other tariffs may contribute substantially to this base price before the goods arrive.
