The company designs and manufactures tires in partnership with manufacturers based in the United States, China, India, Indonesia and Thailand. Omni United owns Radar, Patriot and Corsa brand names, and markets, sells, and distributes several other brand names. The company was founded in 2003 by G.S. Sareen, who prior to founding Omni United, is an entrepreneur in the e-commerce industry. Omni United sells more than 5 million units of passenger and light truck tires annually in 80 countries. The company is called 'IKEA of Tyres' and currently sells more than two million units of passenger and light truck tires per year in the United States.
Omni United began contributing to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation with a 'Mobilizing Hope' campaign partnership in 2011. The company entered into a motorcycle with the Radar Tires brand in 2013. In November 2014, the company launched Timberland Tires, a partnership with clothing and footwear company Timberland , to create the first tire deliberately designed to be recycled into Timberland's shoelaces when their life on the road is over. Omni United acquired Interstate Tire Distributors, a California-based wholesaler with six locations in four Western states, in October 2015. Commitment to Sustainability - Ban Radar and Timberland Tires
President, CEO & amp; Founder G.S. Sareen is deeply committed to sustainable business practices. Its Radar Tires branded product has been declared Carbon Neutral in October 2013, after a two-year project with Ernst & amp; Young to study global carbon emissions. This certification is the result of a twelve-month effort to measure the global carbon footprint of the Radar Tires brand in accordance with certification standards. The company is currently buying carbon credits, supporting wind energy projects in Germany, to offset those emissions.
With the launch of the Timberland Tires brand in November 2014, Omni United announced a recycling and recycling program to convert the Timberland Tire worn into new outsole shoes from Timberland. Liberty Tire Recycling will collect the finished Timberland Tire after they have been replaced at the official Timberland site and sort out the tires at the consolidation centers. Motorports
In 2013, Radar Tires enters racing and off-road sports at the Lucas Off Road Bicycle Race, SCORE International Desert Series, and TORC: The Off Road Championship. In this series, the company participates in short-term off-road desert races and long desert racing. Radar season premiere featured Renegade R5 M/T brand. Radar Tires won Class 10 at SCORE International Steel 500.
Since then, the company has expanded both desert and short-course teams to take some wins and podiums in various series.
