Monster Truck is a Canadian rock band from Hamilton, Ontario. Members include vocalist and bassist Jon Harvey, guitarist Jeremy Widerman, keyboardist Brandon Bliss and drummer Steve Kiely. EP 2011 Monster Truck The Brown EP finds success for them in Canada. The single "Seven Seas Blues" charted in the top ten of active airflow charts and alternative airplay rock charts in spring 2012. After the release of two EPs, their debut album Curiosity was released on Dine Alone Records on May 28, 2013 and distributed on Universal. The band's second studio album titled Sittin 'Heavy was released on Mascot Records on February 19, 2016.
The band won the Juno Award 2013 for Breakthrough Group of the Year. They played Download Festival in 2013 and supported Vista Chino on their European tour in October and November 2013. The band began recording Sittin 'Heavy album in January 2015 after a tour with Alice in Chains, opening for they are on their North America 2014 tour.
Their song "Sweet Mountain River" included in the Ubisoft game Rocksmith 2014, Seven Seas Blues on EA Sports' NHL 13 , and "Old Train" was used in an episode from Orphan Black , "Variable and Full of Perturbation". The first single from their second studio album was released on October 19, 2015, a song titled "Do not Tell Me How to Live". A song, "The Enforcer", is also available only when pre-ordering an album. Their song "Righteous Smoke" is featured in EA Sports' NHL 17 . The song "The Enforcer" was also used as a goal song for Toronto Maple Leafs after each goal scored with the song "Go Leafs Go" added to the song.
