Nabs
Many of the snack crackers produced by Lance are often referred to as "Nabs", the common trademark name for snack chips originating from competitors, the Nabisco company. The term originated in 1924 when the National Biscuit Company (Nabisco) introduced a snack, put in a 5-cent enclosed package called "Peanut Sandwich Package". They immediately added a second, "Sorbetto Sandwich Packet". These packages allow sellers to sell to soda fountains, street stalls, milk bars, lunchrooms, news kiosks, etc. Sales increased and in 1928 the company adopted and started using the name NAB, which immediately won public approval.
