Hal Martin (born December 29, 1985) is a driver of American auto racing cars. Due to his Louisiana heritage, he was nicknamed "The Ragin 'Cajun".

Martin started his racing career when he was 15 years old, 80cc racing, and 125cc karts shifter, raced around the US Gulf Coast and won the 2004 Louisiana State Kart Shifter Kart Championships. He then went to several driving schools to improve his driving skills as he prepared to move into full-body stock cars, including Buck Baker Racing School and Andy Hillenburg's Fast Track High Performance Driving School in Rockingham, North Carolina.

In 2007, Martin won the Mobile Speedway Track Championship in the Pro Late Model Division and was named the 2007 Louisiana State Champion by the Late Model Digest . He will follow him with two more wins the following season while competing on short tracks around the Gulf of Mexico, followed by running several ASA Model Series races in 2009 and 2010.

In 2009, Martin graduated from the University of New Orleans with a degree in mechanical engineering.

ARCA Racing Series

After completing Hillenburg's driving school, Martin was approved to compete in the ARCA Racing Series. He made his series debut at Mansfield Motorsports Park, finishing in 11th place. He will follow it in the next race two months later by finishing in third place at Chicagoland Speedway, his best finish to date. When he competed on short tracks around the Gulf Coast, Martin gained valuable experience on some of the country's biggest tracks while competing on the ARCA, including Daytona, Talladega, and Pocono. In 11 ARCA careers starting between 2009 and 2011, Martin has the best start and finish position in 3rd place, while also counting 3 top ten finishes.

National Series

Martin made his National Series debut at Kansas Speedway in 2012, driving a No. 1 car. 44 for TriStar Motorsports. His debut ended 24 laps from the finish when he was together with Scott Lagasse, Jr. and caused both drivers to hit the wall and fall out of the race, crediting him with a 25th finish. He will compete in two more races that season in preparation for full-time effort in 2013, this time driving the No. 1 car. 19 for TriStar Motorsports in Texas and Homestead, finished 30th on both occasions.

After running three races towards the end of 2012, Martin drove full-time to TriStar Motorsports in 2013 and will compete for the National Rookie of the Year award, where he once again paired up with veteran crew John Quinn. Martin's Competition for the Rookie of the Year includes Jeffrey Earnhardt, grandson of Dale Earnhardt, champion of K & amp; N Pro Series East Kyle Larson and former Formula One driver Nelson Piquet Jr..

Camping World Truck Series

Martin made the world's only Series of Camping Trucks in 2009 at the Memphis International Raceway. Driving to drive coach Andy Hillenburg, Martin finished 26th in the 36-truck field, competing in more than half a lap of the 200-lap race before retiring from the event due to overheating.

Team ownership

On July 28, 2015, Martin and Xfinity Series drivers Eric McClure formed Martin-McClure Racing, the K & amp; N Pro Series East; This team oversees No. 39 for Chad Finchum and Austin Cindric.
