Row Racing Racing (FRR) is a professional American professional club racing team currently competing in the NASCAR Cup Series Energy Monster. FRR currently holds no. 78 full-time Toyota Camry for Martin Truex Jr.. FRR won their first championship in 2017 with Truex, becoming the first winner of the Cup Series under the sponsorship of Monster Energy. This team is also the first single-car team to ever make Chase for the Sprint Cup, performed in 2013 with Kurt Busch and again in 2015, 2016 and 2018 with Truex.

Row Racing Furniture has a technical alliance with fellow Toyota team Joe Gibbs Racing; previously, from 2010 to the end of 2015, the team has an alliance with Richard Childress Racing under the banner of Chevrolet.

2005-2008

Row Racing Furniture made its NASCAR debut on the Busch Series at Nashville Superspeedway in 2005 with Jerry Robertson driving, starting on the 24th and ending on the 33rd. Robertson ran ten races with the team in 2005, his best finish being 22 at California Speedway. The team made two NEXTEL Cup appearances as well, with Kenny Wallace debuting the team at Dover International Speedway, and Robertson ran on the Phoenix International Raceway.

Wallace is scheduled to drive the first five races in 2006, with Robertson filling in the rest of the schedule. At the 2006 Daytona 500, Wallace failed to place the No. 1 car. 78 Furniture Row in the field. Wallace qualified for the next two races, at California Speedway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway, respectively ranking 41 and 38. However, the team's performance was not good enough to make the top 35 points, and the team ran with various riders for the rest of the year ; Jimmy Spencer (both Pocono races) and Travis Kvapil (on the ramp) also drove the car. FRR also works with PPI Motorsports to share equipment and resources throughout the season. Robertson competed in choosing the Busch Series event in 2006, his best performance being the 29th.

Wallace was hired to continue to be a full-time driver in 2007. He has two sixth place starts that season but was released in August 2007. After Scott Wimmer and Sterling Marlin failed to qualify in the weeks that followed, Joe Nemechek was named permanent driver. FRR completes a three-year contract with Nemechek (2008-2010) towards the end of the season. Nemechek locked himself into the field with third place qualifying runs in Daytona 500 2008. In the spring of the Talladega race, he gave their first pole team. In the autumn race on the track, Nemechek gave FRR his best finish ever from 11.

2009-2012

For 2009, the team announced it would reduce its part-time schedule due to financial constraints. Nemechek will remain as a driver, but the team buys the remainder of his contract after he refuses to run part of the schedule. Regan Smith ran 18 races in No. car. 78 in 2009.

FRR resumed full-time duties in 2010. The team is in line with Richard Childress Racing and achieved the top 35 status for the first five races of 2010 by purchasing owner points from RCR No. 1 car. 07. Childress is registered as the official owner. 78.

On November 15, 2010, rider and motorcycle rider Rowel Racing was destroyed in an accident on Interstate 25 some forty miles from the team's headquarters in Denver. Richard Childress Racing provides a complete transporter team for the use of Furniture Row at Homestead.

At Daytona 500 2011, Smith gave Furniture Row his first top ten, finishing seventh. On May 7, 2011, Smith gave Furniture Row their first big five, and the first win, at Darlington Raceway in Southern 500, held off Carl Edwards. In 2012, the team fought hard, and Pete Rondeau was replaced as crew chief by former RCR crew chief Todd Berrier before Indy. Addition of Berrier yields the first return for top-10 finishes (second place 9) for FRR and Smith.

2013

Although the Berrier brought Smith two top ten finishes and one top five finish, manager Joe Garone announced that Smith would be replaced by Kurt Busch starting with Bank of America 500 2012 in Charlotte.

In the 2013 season, Busch improved the status of Row Furniture as a team, with cars becoming more competitive and running in contention more often than not. In the first 26 races, Busch recorded 8 top five and 13 top ten finishes, and one pole position (at Darlington in May). These are statistics that can easily be compared to drivers working with power generation teams. The team also has low points, such as a terrible accident in the May race at Talladega that saw Busch flip over and land on top of Ryan Newman in turn 3 with six laps to go. A number of poor settlements, and crashes like those in New Hampshire and Martinsville, plus a dead battery while leading under a red flag at Coca-Cola 600, caused the team to float in Chase's bubble. A streak of ten was completed by Busch in August, combined with a second-place finish in Richmond, securing Chase entry team entry. This marks the eighth season of Busch making Chase. It also makes Furniture Row Racing the first single car team to race to Chase.

The car was sponsored by Furniture Row for most of the season, except in Talladega in October, when the car was sponsored by Wonder Bread, as a tribute to Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. This is the second time Busch has driven a Talladega Nights paint job in Talladega, with another time a car based on paintwork "ME" in May 2012 during his tenure with Phoenix Racing.

2014

In August 2013, it was announced that Busch will not return to the FRR for 2014, as he has signed a contract with Gene Haas to drive alongside Stewart-Haas Racing starting from Daytona 500 2014. The team also announced that they have extended their alliance with RCR. For almost two months, speculation over who would replace Busch in Furniture Row had suggested Juan Pablo Montoya be the most likely candidate, since Montoya had to be replaced in No. 1. 42 on Chip Ganassi Racing by Kyle Larson. Other potential candidates are Jeff Burton and Bobby Labonte, veterans who have not been guaranteed for 2014. However, Montoya has finally announced that he will join the Penske Team in the IndyCar Series. In early October, after Michael Waltrip Racing announced that the No. team. They were cut into part-time teams due to the loss of NAPA Auto Parts as sponsors in the fallout of the Spingate scandal in Richmond, it was reported that Furniture Row was negotiating with Martin Truex Jr. to potentially sign him.

Prior to the November race in Texas, it was announced and confirmed that Truex had signed a multi-year contract to encourage the FRR to start on Daytona 500 2014. The announcement also added that the FRR had hired all the crews from the Truex MWR team as well.

Team performance declined slightly in 2014, with Truex scoring just five, leading just one lap and finished 24th in the standings. At the end of the season, the team released the head of the Todd Berrier crew, hiring rookie crew chief Cole Pearn.

2015

Truex's performance dramatically increased during the 2015 season, largely due to the new driver-driver head-to-head relationship between Truex and Cole Pearn. During the Daytona 500, Truex led one lap and finished 8. Truex grabbed the top ninetties during the first 10 races, finishing second in Las Vegas. He led the most rounds in Kansas and appeared on his way to victory, when a bad pit stop dragged him into a ninth finish. After leading the most laps for four consecutive races, Truex and Furniture Row finally got on the winning track, winning Axalta "We Paint Winners" 400 at Pocono Raceway in June to get Furniture Row Racing winning 1 Sprint Cup since 500 South of the year 2011 and breaking 69 wins without a race for Truex. The victory locked Truex and the team into Chase for the Sprint Cup for 2015 and placed him second in the standings. The following week, Truex will finish 3rd place in an accelerated rain race at Michigan International Speedway to become the first rider since Richard Petty in 1969 to score 14 top 10 in the first 15 races of the season. Truex will not visit the winning track for the rest of the year but scored a total of 22 top 10, including 8 top 5, and finished 4th in the championship standings after driving into 4th in Homestead.

â € <â € <2016

On September 27, 2015, it has been confirmed that Truex has re-signed with Furniture Row for 2016 and beyond. The team also announced a switch to Toyota in 2016, receiving technical alliances with Joe Gibbs Racing and engines from Toyota Racing Development. Truex will win his second race with Furniture Row on May 29, 2016 after leading a record breaking 392 of 400 laps of Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte. Truex was able to score his first multi-win season as he won the Southern 500 in Darlington and then scored the winning goal in Chicagoland past leader Ryan Blaney with 4 laps to go. Truex scored his fourth win of the season two races later in Dover, however, for 78, the car lost the engine at Talladega, cutting the car off the chase.

2017

With 2 laps to go on Daytona 500, Truex is headed, but Kyle Larson will pass it in 2 turns and Truex finally finish 13. Las Vegas Motor Speedway Truex will lead most laps (150) and become the first NASCAR rider to win all 3 stages, Truex and Brad Keselowski will battle for a final victory and with 2 to go Keselowski will start having engine trouble and Truex will continue to earn his first win of the season. In Kansas, Truex will fight Ryan Blaney all night and will lead the most with 104 and beat Blaney. In Coca-Cola 600, Truex dominated, leading 273 laps while Jones had his best finish career in seventh place, but Austin Dillon would go on to win the race. Truex dominated again in Kentucky winning all 3 stages and leading the most laps and battling Kyle Busch on a few reloads throughout the race to win.

In 2017 Brickyard 400, Martin Truex Jr. was battling against Kyle Busch to lead at the end of the race, but accidentally destroyed Busch, taking himself and Busch out of the race and thwarting Kyle Busch from being the first racer in the speedway history to the three peatlands. The shipwreck caused much controversy in Toyota's operations. Following the incident, Furniture Row Racing & amp; Joe Gibbs Racing, suspended three crew members of # 78 members to confront the head of crew of their Toyota team, Adam Stevens.

Following all their success throughout the playoffs and regular seasons, they won the 2017 NASCAR Energy Monster Series at the Homestead Miami Speedway by winning the Ford EcoBoost 400 after leading a round of 78 laps.

2018

Truex started the season by finishing 18th place on the Daytona 500, after being caught in a late racing accident. Over the next few weeks, Truex grabbed the top five in five straight races, including two poles, and won at Auto Club Speedway. Truex swept all three stages in California, leading 125 of the 200 rounds to his 16th career victory. He scored 4th place in Martinsville, having started on pole at owner points due to a snowy Qualifier.

No. Car. 77 starts as the No. car. 87 driven by Kenny Wallace for Daytona 500 in 2008. In early 2008, Wallace returned to Furniture Row to drive on the Daytona 500 in a car that was supposed to function as a safety net for Nemechek if his team did not make the field. Instead, Nemechek locked himself into the field with a third-place qualifying run, and Wallace secured a spot in the race at Gatorade Duels.

On August 7, 2016, Furniture Row Racing announced that Erik Jones will compete in the Cup Series with support from 5 Hour Energy. It marks the return of No. 77 for the first time since Charlotte fell in 2014, then operated by Randy Humphrey Racing. In December 2016, Furniture Row Racing purchased a Chevrolet No. charter. 98 owned by Jay Robinson, and using the charter for No. 77, guaranteeing No. 77 places in every race of the 2017 season. Jones borrowed from Joe Gibbs Racing. In Coca-Cola 600, Jones has the best career in 7th place, but Austin Dillon will win the race. At Pocono Jones improved his best career and collected the first five by completing the 3rd position. In Kentucky, Jones took sixth place finish for his fifth top fifth this season. On July 11, it was announced that Jones would leave the team after the 2017 season because of his long anticipated move for the No. JGR car. 20 in 2018, but 5 Hour Energy has to stay with the team because the king and the Energy Monster rule sponsors the series.

After Jones announced his departure, Furniture Row Racing sold the No. charter. 77 team to the unnamed team and announced that they will close the No. team. 77 at the end of the season, while also saying that 77 is not just a matter of one year.
