James Robert Crane (born January 17, 1954) is a businessman from Houston, Texas. Early life and education

Crane and his ex-wife, Franci Neely Crane, are financial supporters of The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

For her 60th birthday party, Franci was greeted by the B-52's rock-pop band at Crane's summer home in Nantucket, Massachusetts in July 2010.

During the Memorial Day weekend in 2017, Crane married Whitney Wheeler. The luxury ceremony takes place at Crane's National Golf Club Florida. This is Crane's third marriage. Crane and Wheeler have a son together, James Robert Crane II.

Crane is a Democratic supporter and often plays golf with former US President Barack Obama.
