Hennessey Venom 650R
The Hennessey Venom 650R is one of the first offerings provided from the tuning company. Available as a package for the 1996 Dodge Viper GTS, the Venom 650R is one of the fastest road legal cars in the world. Upgrades include a $ 37,000 engine upgrade using enlarged cylinder drill holes, and longer strokes to increase displacement from 488 cu stock at (8.0 L) to 514 cu at (8.4 L) along with steel connecting rods which is forged (titanium rod is an extra $ 3500) and wrought aluminum pistons; the entire assembly is then balanced and reprinted to produce a total power output of up to 650 hp (659 PS; 485 kW) at 5,800 rpm and 650Ã, lb? ft (881Ã,M) of torque at 4,500 rpm which crashes the compression ratio up to 10.5: 1. On the intake side, the competition airbox feeds a 70-millimeter throttle billet body and a match-port intake manifold. On the exhaust side, a set of long stainless steel headers tuned sends the expelled gases to a 3.0-inch stainless exhaust system that retains the stock catalytic converter, but allows them to easily be skipped for day track performance. New engine management software rammed idle up to 1,000 rpm smoother, disables the skip-shift 1-4 transmission feature, turns on the cooling fan faster, and condenses the calibrated fuel and ignition curve. Completing the package is a VenomAero carbon fiber body upgrade that reduces weight, adds functional brake cooling duct along with optimized rear wing and downforce. All of these modifications allow the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) in 3.3 seconds, completing 1/4-mile in 10.8 seconds at a speed of 130.1 mph (209 km/h) and pushing the car to a top speed of over 215 mph (346 km/h). Brembo race specification braking system and Penske adjusted suspension system with 30 variable damping settings available as an option. The total cost of the package reached US $ 108,500 not including the price of VTS GTS.
Hennessey Venom GT
In 2010, Hennessey Performance revealed Hennessey Venom GT. Venom GT is based on Lotus Exige and has a twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 1,244 hp. The car weighs 1.244 kg and has a top speed of 270.49 mph. Three Venom GT coupe editions of "World's Fastest Edition" are produced in 2014 to commemorate this car with a record of 270.49 mph (435 km/h).
The roadster variant, dubbed Venom GT Spyder, was launched in 2012 at the request of Aerosmith vocalist Steven Tyler. It is based off the Lotus Elise and adds à £ 30 (14 kg) to the curb weight due to structural changes. Spyder production is limited to five units with one-off Spyder produced as a "Final edition" model that brings a total of up to 6 units. The latter edition gets a total of 204 hp (207 PS) and 152 lb and 9 lb (4 kg) lighter than a regular Spyder.
Hennessey Venom F5
The Venom GT successor, Hennessey Venom F5 was unveiled at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 1, 2017, with high hopes of a speed record that beat the world. Using the predicted 2.0-second speed 0-60Ã, predicted mph (0-97Ã, km/h) and a maximum speed of 301 mph (484 km/h), Venom F5 Hennessey aims to eliminate Bugatti Chiron and Koenigsegg Agera on all acceleration factors and speed. Venom F5 has an exclusively twin-turbocharged 8-liter turbocharged, making it the company's first in-house machine. It produces 1,600 hp (1,193 kW; 1,622 PS) and 1,300 lb? Ft (1.763Ã, N? M) torque. Pennzoil and Shell partnered with Hennessey for this project to help reach a top speed of 300 mph (483 km/h). The highest speed is claimed to be 301 mph (484 km/h) through the V-MAX speed tracking system. Hennessey predicts the car can accelerate from 0-186 mph (0-300 km/h) in under 10 seconds and 0-249 mph (0-400 km/h) time under 20 seconds. Only 24 will be built with each car for US $ 1.6 million.
